Thankful for outpouring of support
Letter to The Hants Journal
To the Editor:
When you ask for help, you hope someone is listening. In January 2007, we received the news that our son Cole needed a bone marrow or stem cell transplant.
As the days went on, we found out more about Cole's condition and what was needed to be done for him to survive. We asked for help and we received it; from all over the world.
We cannot thank everyone enough for all that was done. We want to thank every person who organized, volunteered, donated or attended the fundraisers held for us. Without your generosity, they would not have been successful.
For all the phone calls, e-mails, cards, food, donations to one of the trust funds, offering help with the many renovations done to our home and visits to the hospital, thank you. The support has been overwhelming at times, however, it helps us through the tough days and makes the good days even better.
Lastly, a special thank you to Dr. Laurie McNeil, all the staff on 7 East and South IWK, IWK Child Life Development, Dr. Andrew and Thomas Issekutz, IWK, Dr. David Mitchell and all the staff on 8D at Montreal's Children's Hospital. You have all done so much for us.
Because of you, Cole will one day lead a healthy and normal life.
