Wild lose scrappy games
The Barrington Ice Dogs defeated South Shore Wild 7-3 Nov. 20 in Liverpool. The game was close until the Wild ran into penalty problems. Wild Goalie Nat Dagley faced about 60 shots that night. Wild lose scrappy games
On Nov. 17 the South Shore Wild traveled to Digby to play the Valley Keiths and fell 9-0 in a losing cause.
After the first period the score was only 1-0. However, the Wild were confused as the players and coaching staff believed normal checking put them in the box. With the score mounting the goaltenders were left to fend for themselves, as checks were not made.

A Tuesday night encounter with Barrington on Nov. 20 in Liverpool was much better, although the Wild lost 7-3. Sean Ivany opened the game scoring first, assisted by Justin Hanley.

Sean was called upon later in the third for a fighting bout with Ice Dogs Josh Alyward. The score at the end of the first was 2-1 Barrington.

Jared Holdright from Brett Bolivar was next and Nick Handspiker finished the scoring for the Wild, from Mike Gatzke. The score at the end of two was 4-3 for Barrington.

In the third the Wild switched tactics and decided to scrap. Sean Ivany, Mike Gatzke, Jason Conrad and Cody Sawyer dropped the gloves and all came out winners.

The Junior C League has cleaned up a lot, but there are still fights. Nat Dagley was superb in goal stopping 53 of 60 shots.

A makeup game will be played Nov. 24 at 8:15 p.m. in Liverpool between the Valley and Wild.

Dec. 2 on Sunday will find the New Waterford Jets in town to play Wild at 2 p.m.
