Count down to dumping day
Next Monday just under 1700 vessels will be leaving wharves from Digby County to Halifax County on what's known locally as dumping day.
Each license holder (the majority of which are from Shelburne and Yarmouth counties) is entitled to set 375 lobster traps.

The lobster fishing industry is recognized by many as being the lifeblood of southwest Nova Scotia.
