Case set over for man charged with crushing girl’s face
The case of a 19-year old Harmony, Queens Co. man charged with allegedly crushing his former girlfriend’s face with a rock has been set over until Nov. 27.
His lawyer asked for more time Nov. 6 in Liverpool Provincial Court to review the evidence against his client.
Merry has been charged with assault and uttering threats for incidents on Sept. 21 and for assault causing bodily harm for the Sept. 22 incident on the Queens County Exhibition Fair grounds.
The then 17-year-old Molega Mines resident, who is now 18, required facial reconstructive surgery.
Her cheek bones were broken in seven places, her eye socket was broken, her sinus cavity collapsed and her jaws had to be realigned.
She may require more operations.
