The weigh-ins of tuna landed in this year’s Wedgeport tuna festival takes place Friday morning at 10 a.m. at the breakwater wharf in Wedgeport.

According to reports this morning, nine tunas have been caught. There were seven boats taking part in the tournament, including one from Maine.

The weigh-ins will be followed by a tuna auction attended by buyers. This event is also open to the public.

Closing ceremonies are planned at 2 p.m. at the Wedgeport Tuna Museum. The festivities go on throughout the day with food and music.

More information from the weigh-ins will be posted on NovaNewsNow.com later on.
