Alleged arsonist back in court
Gaylord Avery Perry, of Shelburne County, was back in court last week facing allegations of burning down the Black Loyalist Heritage Society office in Birchtown last year. He has appeared in court on several occasions regarding the charge but each time has pled for more time for disclosure. During his latest appearance, Avery informed the court that he has now retained lawyer Patrick McEwan and his lawyer would need more time for disclosure.

Perry will be back in court on Sept. 5 to enter his plea.
