Bear River hopping during 114th Cherry Carnival
From dunk tank and grease pole to auction and fireworks -- it was a lot of fun
Bear River's 114th Cherry Carnival went off without a hitch Saturday, July 21 as crowds visited the village to eat cherries, watch the woodsmancompetition, play games of chance, attend a flea market and silent auction, and play bingo.
The most popular event was the grease pole where contestants walk a long, greased long suspended over the river. The person who gets the flag nailed to the end wins. This year it was David Isles who knocked the flag off with his foot.
The day ended with a fireworks display. See pictures.
