Ives case set over
For the second time, the case of Liverpool resident, Darcy Boyd Ives, 45, who is facing sex and drug related charges, has been set over to a later court date.
Ives appeared in Liverpool Provincial Court July 3 but his lawyers asked for more time to study the evidence against him. He has been released with conditions until July 24 at which time he will enter his election and plea.
Ives is facing charges of manufacturing and possessing child pornography, touching for a sexual purpose, and trafficking and possession of marihuana, Dilaudid and Valium, after two June 2 Queens RCMP searches of his Union St. apartment.
A 16-year-old girl was found living there along with videotapes, photographs, and the above-mentioned drugs, related paraphernalia and cash. The female was taken to a safe house at the time.
Ives has been ordered to stay away from anyone under the age of 18, including the girl.
