Camp Aldershot hosts tactical demonstration, luncheon

Camp Aldershot hosted its monthly commandant’s luncheon and a tactical demonstration on Thursday, May 24. The event presented an opportunity for members of the greater community to visit Camp Aldershot and see first hand what sort of military training takes place there. The demonstration was held in the new fighting and built-up areas range. The range was built as part of a partnership among the camp, 14 Wing Greenwood and the NSCC Kingstec Campus. Camp Commandant Major Jamie Hunter, Lieutenant-Colonel Ian Creighton of Gagetown and West Nova Captain Wayne Hearn were on hand to provide insight into the tactical demonstration and explain the purpose. There were several community leaders, local police representatives and media personalities in attendance.
