Kentville Police have apprehended four individuals in relation to a string of thefts and break and enters into homes and businesses in Kentville and the surrounding area.
Chief Mark Mander said the four suspects were apprehended Friday evening, May 18.
“We did a round-up of persons responsible,” Mander said. Once the individuals were apprehended, Mander said they called in the RCMP to assist in relation to their files.
The arrests were made following a three-week investigation that was assisted by the recently established Kings County Street Team, consisting of a member of the Kentville Police and an RCMP member.
Mander said the four individuals arrested are all adult males and three of them are from our area. The fourth is a man from Ontario who moved here about a year ago.
He said they were apparently after items such as electronics and jewellery and the police have recovered some of the stolen property as a result of the investigation and subsequent arrests.
