Promoting junior golf

An emphasis on junior golf development and more attention to tournament prize giving were among issues discussed Thursday at the annual general meeting of the Digby Golf Club.

Director Bob Handspiker said every school in the region had been contacted about encouraging students to become involved in golf.

Elected as the executive for this season were president Justin Wood, vice-presidents Bill Olsen and Grant Creighton, secretary Drew MacLean and treasurer John MacKay.

The club is a separate members organization at the golf course operated by the Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa.
