Mayor proclaims Nova Scotia Recreation Professionals in Health Week
Kentville Mayor Dave Corkum visited the Evergreen Home for Special Care on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 7 to present a plaque to the recreation professionals who work there, including Recreation Programmer Cindy Beaman (left), Director of Recreation and Volunteers Paul Wood and Recreation Programmer Shirley Houghton. The mayor has proclaimed the week of Feb. 4 to 10 Nova Scotia Recreation Professionals in Health Week in Kentville. This is the 13th year the provincial government has proclaimed the week. Onabel Norton thanked the recreation professionals on behalf of the residents of the home and even got a hug from the mayor.
