Lost air force buddy sought
To The Kings County Register
I am an R.C.A.F. veteran looking for William Davies, or any family members or friends.

He was stationed in or near London, Ontario, in 1941. There were numerous other air force stations in the area. I last heard from Bill in 1942. I wish now I had more information on Bill, but we didn't think of things like that at the time. I have been searching various sites, and this is one that I received. I'm hoping this is not the Bill I knew.

The following is the information I received: F/S William John Ross Davies, R/104057 426 Sqdn. RCAF. Died Mar. 5, 1943. Son of J.W.and Eva M. Davies, of Sherbrooke, King's County, Nova Scotia. Remembered wth honour, Runnymede Memorial.

This, of course, came from the Books of Remembrance, which is the only source of information we have. This information is quite limited.

I would appreciate any help you can be. I do not want to cause any members of this family or friends any further heartache. The Bill I knew was a fine person, and one any family could be proud of.

Thank you for any assistance.
