To the Editor:



Regarding the recent ads released by the Stephen Harper government attacking Stephane Dion and his record on the environment, I recently came across a quotation by Paul Krugman, a journalist with the New York Times, that seems to me to describe the situation very well.

Krugman says, "Smear tactics are what a well-organized, well-funded party with an unpopular domestic agenda uses to change the subject."

Fits, eh?
