Stay Keith’s stay
EDITORIAL FROM THE DIGBY COURIER
Some of the brightest stars in Digby this winter are our fast-skating, deep-digging never-say-die Junior C players.
Sure their record could be a little higher and we’d have more fun if they won a few more, but even when these guys lose, they put on a heck of a show.
The crowds have never dropped below a hundred and have been building as word spreads of the quality product on display at the arena.
Digby’s minor hockey program is benefitting from more people feasting on rinkfries and hotdogs and from the younger players feasting on competitive hometown hockey.
Now to top it all of the Keith’s are bringing in four teams for a weekend tournament. Two of those teams are staying over night, and all of them and their fans have to eat.
Best of all Digby fans will get to watch all but one of the league’s best teams and see how they match up.
It’s like Digby’s own little hockey holiday – something to brighten up the town between New Year’s and Valentine’s Day.
Here’s wishing the organizers a successful tournament and season but more importantly we wish the boys on the ice a fun and high scoring weekend.
To the boys – “Go Keith’s go and to the organizers – “Stay Keith’s stay!
