OUTHOUSE, Guy Nelson of Centreville, Digby County, passed away Dec. 19, 2006, in Tideview Terrace, Digby. Born Jan. 23, 1913, in Centreville, Digby County, he was the son of the late Orwell and Blanche (Morehouse) Outhouse. Guy was a devoted husband, father and friend. He enjoyed the outdoor life, choosing farming, weir fishing, lumbering and road work as his vocations in life. Guy’s family, friends, hunting, sports fishing “trouting� playing 45s, having a good laugh, telling a few jokes and driving his car were the excitement in his life. Guy is survived by his loving and devoted wife Bernice (Hersey), Morehouse; daughter, Greta Turnbull; grandchildren, Nancy, Paul, Peter and Jamie; daughter Dorothy Tidd (Lauriston), grandchildren, Christopher, Karen, Bradford and Gregory; son, Alton, grandchildren, Tracey, Stephen and Tara; step-daughter, Shelva Birt (Jim); step-grandchildren, Christopher and Suzzette; and 12 great-grandchildren. Guy was predeceased by his first wife, Mary (Graham); brother Carman and stepsons, Ronald and Ray. Funeral took place Dec. 22 in Centreville Baptist Church, with Lester Simpson and John Purdy officiating. Interment in Union Burial Ground. Morris St. Clair �Moe�-91 of Surf Lodge Nursing Home, Lockeport, formerly of East Green Harbour, passed away December 19, 2006 in Surf Lodge Nursing Home. Born in Lockeport, he was a son of the late Frank and Gertrude(Ennis) Townsend. He was predeceased by his step-mother Anastacia Benham. Moe started fishing at a very young age and later in life joined the Merchant Marines. He was aboard the Liverpool Packett when she was torpedoed. Captain Norman Smith was in charge of the vessel at that time. Following this, he worked at National Sea Products as a fish cutter. When he retired from National Sea he became Supervisor of Maintenance at the Nova Scotia School for Boys. He was a life member of the Lockeport Pentecostal Church. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He and his wife Margery enjoyed camping. He played the accordion and enjoyed all types of music. He was a practical joker and loved to tease people. He had the love and respect of all who knew him. He was a good father to Basil as well as a kind and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife, the former Margery Roach, Surf Lodge Nursing Home; son, Basil, East Green Harbour; brother, Roger Townsend, West Head; sister, Virginia Scott, West Head; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Basil, Manson, Eric and Harley; sisters, Afton Corkum, Norma Shankle, Ruby Scott and a sister Elsie in infancy. Funeral service was held 21 December, 2006 in the Lockeport
Pentecostal Church. Rev. Eric Revie officiated.

Margaret (Millett) McPherson, 87, of Boca Raton, FL and Gloucester, MA, and formerly of Acton, died Tuesday, December 19, 2006, at Life Care Center of Acton. Born in Gloucester, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Godfrey) Millett. She was the widow of Paul M. McPherson, who died in 1972. As a child, she spent every summer with grandparents in Brooklyn, Queens County, NS. While living in Acton, she had been an active member of the Acton Center Congregational Church, was past president of the Acton Women’s Club, an avid golfer and candle-pin bowing champion. She and her husband were instrumental in the development of Minuteman Airfield in Stow, and she operated Peg’s Place at the Airfield — the predecessor to her daughter-in-law’s restaurant Nancy’s Café. She leaves her son, Donald McPherson, and his wife Nancy of Stow; her daughter, Paula McPherson O’Sullivan of Acton; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A graveside funeral service was held Saturday, Dec. 30 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Concord Road, Acton. TAYLOR, Harvey Lawrence – 70, Hebron, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2006, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born August 30, 1936 in Yarmouth, he was son of the late William and Frances (Robinson) Taylor. He worked as a taxi driver and a fisherman. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H. M. Donald R. Hynick, 62, of Port Mouton, Queens County, died Thursday, December 21, 2006, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool. Born in Port Medway, he was a son of the late Russell and Florinda (Whynot) Hynick. Donald was a fish plant worker for many years and loved hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, the former Inez Colp; sons: Donald Jr. (Amanda) and Kirk (Natalie Ives), both of Port Mouton; grandchildren: Nathaniel, Lily and Isaiah; sister, Marion (Douglas) Smith of Liverpool; brother, Anthony (Susan) of Liverpool. He was predeceased by a brother, LaMont. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, where funeral service was held Sunday, Dec. 24; Rev. WILSON, Alice Tressa, age 85, of Upper Falmouth, Hants County, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 21, 2006, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, with her family at her side. Born on January 20, 1921, at home, on the Redden Road, Martock, Hants County, she was a daughter of the late Neil Harris and Winnifred Burnette (Taylor) Redden. She married her husband, Norris Wilson in 1949, and lived at the Dakeyne Farm, Mount Denson, later moving to Castle Frederick Road, Upper Falmouth, where they operated the Wilson farm. Upon the early passing of her husband Norris in 1965, she continued to operate the family farm, until forming a partnership now called Bovidae Farm. She was a member of the Windsor congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, since the early 70’s. At Alice’s home, as was a family tradition, hospitality was always offered to those who visited, worked on the farm, and for those who made it a second home. Alice is survived by her children, Sheila (Alan) Jamieson, Halifax, and their children, Sandra (Gary) Jamieson-Burns; Neil (Linda) Jamieson, and Sarah Jamieson; Robert “Bob� (Jennifer) Wilson, Windsor Forks, and his children, Cynthia Wilson (Ian Duey), Kimberly Wilson, Christopher Wilson, and their mother, Marie, and also step-children, Megan Hutchinson and Cary Hutchinson; Helen “Peggy� (Murray) Pemberton, Upper Falmouth, and their children, James Pemberton and fiancée Shiloh, Megan Pemberton, and Charles Pemberton; Patsy (Timothy) Boylen, Centreville, and their son, Jonah Boylen; 8 great grandchildren, Samatha Burns, Emmaline Burns, and Anthony-Alan Burns; Hannah, Justin, Brandon and Victoria Jamieson; Alice-Ann Marie Duey;; siblings, Laurie (Carol), Lakelands; Lois (John) Smith, Lr. Besides her parents, Neil and Winnie, she was predeceased by her husband, Norris Charles Wilson (August 21, 1965); stillborn great-granddaughter, Shelby Lynn Jamieson; siblings, Bruce Redden; Sam Redden (her twin brother); Marjorie Brown; Ernest Redden; Milford Redden; John Redden; Clarie Redden; Gordon Redden; Mary Atwell and Vernon Redden. The family wish to thank Dr. Kilcollins, Bev Lyttle, the Victorian Order of Nurses, and to all the staff at the Hants Community Hospital, for their help and support they gave to Alice during her illness. WOROBEC, Walter - 77, Windsor, Hants Co., passed away peacefully Thursday, December 21, 2006, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born and raised in Portage la Prairie, Man., Walter was a son of the late Paul and Caroline Worobec. Walter worked for many years in the electrical trade. He later retired from Fundy Gypsum where he was Electrical Superintendent. Walter was predeceased by his wife and loving companion of 42 years, Beulah; sister, Mary; brothers, Joseph, Bill, Mike, Tony and Pete. He leaves behind his daughters, Susan (David) Thexton, Truro; Kim (Robert) Rochon, Hillsborough, N.B.; Linda (Kirk) Zwicker, Tantallon; son, Walter Jr. (Cindy) Worobec, Franklin, Ind.; grandchildren, Jennifer, Denis, Tiffany, Leanne, Samantha and Julia. Vivian B. Teal, 88, of Queens Manor, Liverpool, passed away peacefully Friday, December 22, 2006, in Queens Manor. Born in St. Catherine’s River, Port Joli, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Martha (Leslie) MacDonald. Vivian was a homemaker all her life and loved sewing, knitting, and especially her family. She is survived by daughters: Carol (Ivan) Townsend of Port Joli, Rosalyn (Ronald) Cummings of Edmonton, Alta., Lillian (Gordon) Perkins of Eastern Passage; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters: Thelma (Llewelyn) Billard and Edna Drake, both of Halifax; brother, Maynard (Gladys) of Lockeport. Roberts (Sweeney), Marilyn Anne - 51, South Ohio, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 22, 2006, surrounded by several members of her loving family. Marilyn was born on Cape Forchu, Yarmouth Co., on August 27, 1955. She was predeceased by her father, Allan Joseph Sweeney, and a brother, Michael Allan Sweeney. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, Donnie Roberts; her mother, Mary Alice (Dowling, Sweeney) MacPhee, Villa Saint Joseph, Dayton, Yarmouth Co.; sisters, Paulette (Rick) Goodwin, Kemptville; Linda (James) Brittain, South Ohio; brothers, Joel (Mary) Sweeney, St. John's. N.L.; Darrell (Debbie) Sweeney, North Sydney. Along with her birth family, Marilyn was blessed with a second family at the age of 12, parents, Greg and Florence Murphy, Sydney Mines; and brothers Greg Jr. (Debbie) Murphy, Sydney Mines; Eugene (Debbie) Murphy, North Sydney; Sean (Joanne) Murphy, Halifax, Glenn (Sheila) Christie, Halifax, Shawn (Caroline) Donavon, Oromocto, N.B. She has 10 nieces and six nephews. Marilyn was a pharmacy technician for over 25 years. She was employed by Central Pharmacy for approximately 10 years and by Pharmasave, Yarmouth, until the time of her death. She was a long-time member of the Yarmouth Curling Club and a leader in Kempt Recreation. She had a passion for cross stitching and created many treasured gifts for her family and friends over the years. Marilyn enjoyed life to the fullest and always looked for the best in everyone she met. Her vivacious personality and endearing mannerisms created a lasting memory for everyone she touched. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and coworkers. Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass was held in St. Ambrose Cathedral, her baptismal home, Yarmouth, in Wednesday, December 27, 2 p.m., Father John MacPherson officiated. ALLEN, LeBina Jane “Bina� - It is with great sadness that the family of LeBina Allen (White), age 92 years, announces her peaceful death on Friday, December 22, 2006 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born May 16, 1914 in Forest Glenn, Nova Scotia, she was the eldest daughter of Howard and Grace (Hicks) White, and grew up in Forest Glenn. She lived most her married life in Carleton. Perhaps most challenging was when they lived and worked on Webster’s Island, Yarmouth County. Predeceased by husband, Arthur in 1986, and eldest son David. Left to mourn are a daughter, Joan Doane (Lloyd) of Chegoggin, NS; sons, Reverend John Allen (Ardeth), Hillsborough, NB and Keith Allen (Della) of Russell ON; eight grandchildren, Sheila (Glenn), Tim (Jill), David (Erika), Jonathan, Jacqueline (Grant), Scott (Bea), Derek (Lisa) and Kilah (Steven); fifteen great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Dylan, Kyle, Winter, Scarlet, Calum, Isaac, Maggie, Emma, Ryan, Sarah, Adam, Mathieu, and Jacob. Lebina leaves behind one sister, Freda Wayling (White) of Oshawa, ON. Nine brothers and sisters have predeceased her, Clyde White, Everett White, Izena Smith (White), Cecil White, Levina White (died in infancy), Lyndon White, Alvia (Newton) White, Howard White and half brother James Can. She also leaves behind a number of nieces and nephews. LeBina, over the years, was very active in the community. She was affiliated with the Carleton United Baptist Church, a life member of the Women’s Missionary Society, member of the Women’s Institute and participated with the Red Cross Society. She was an inspiration to her family, friends, neighbors, and showed kindness along life’s journey. Special thanks to Dr. Michelle Cain, Dr. Cindy Boudreau, the nursing staff of the Yarmouth Regional Hospital and the staff at Tidal View Manor and Sunset Terrace, Yarmouth NS.
