First responders exemplary after crash
A letter to the Annapolis County Spectator
Dear Editor:

On November 24, around 5 p.m., we were travelling East on Highway 101, on our way to the Halifax Airport. East of the Coolbrook exit we were hit by a car that was attempting a U-turn from the East to the West lane. Our car was totaled but we, miraculously, escaped unhurt.

We were impressed by the competence of the response of the paramedics, Windsor Fire

Department, police, and by the kindness of the passers-by who stopped to see if they could help.

We want particularly to thank the young man in a white T-shirt who helped open the bent passenger door, and stayed on to act as witness for the police, and also Lawrence Bent, who graciously drove us and our luggage to Halifax. Nova Scotians are wonderful people, though some of them are bad drivers.

Sincerely,

Clarke Fraser

and Marilyn Preus
