November 19 to November 25, 2006 continued ROSS, Carrie M. - 69, Riverview, NB, passed away in Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Thursday, November 23, 2006. Born in Windsor, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Jean (Swinamer) Robertson. Carrie was a member of St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Riverview, former member of the church ACW and former member of the Beaver Curling Club. Carrie will be sadly missed by her husband of 50 years, George Ross; her children, Christine Cahill (Mark), Windsor Junction; Andrew (Margo), Head of Chezzetcook; grandchildren, Michael, Meghan, Morgan; great-granddaughter, Abigail Jean; sisters, Elizabeth Brazeau, Diane Miller (Donald), Windsor; brother, Ernest Robertson (Kathy), Ottawa, Ont. She was predeceased by brother, Earl; sister-in-law, Jean. Funeral service was held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Rd., Moncton, NB, on Monday, November 27, at 11am, Rev. Albert Snelgrove officiated. Interment was held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Sackville. In Carrie’s memory, donations to Dr. Georges L. November 19 to November 25, 2006 continued Langille, Herbert Maxwell 90. On November 25th 2006 Herbert left his earthly home to be with his Lord. He was born in 1915 to the late Charles & Lillas (Fancy) Langille of Farmington, Lunenburg Co. Herbert moved to the Valley in 1943 and operated a dairy farm in Brooklyn, Annapolis County. He was a member of the Middleton Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for many years. He lived a rich full life. His main interests were his family, making sure they were aware of Salvation through Christ, his church, and lending a helping hand whenever possible. He will be missed by his wife Phyllis and five children. Sons Cyril (Joy), Lawrencetown; Leon (Brenda), Brooklyn; Eric (Judy), Greenwood; Paul (Margaret), Brooklyn and daughter Roselie (Jean) Gignac, Halifax. Foster son Donald Rhoddy, Keswick Ontario. Grandchildren Derek (Toni) Langille, Christy (Mike) O’Neill, Amber (Dana) Archer, Michelle Gignac (Phillip), Camille Gignac (James Weibe), Marc Gignac, Lisa (Alex) Levy, Peter (Rachel) Langille, Pamela Langille, Jacqueline Langille (Dan), Stacey Langille, Nathan (Lisa) Langille and Noelle (Mark) Messom. Foster grandchild Lisa Paquette, Quebec. Six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister Dorothy and brothers Ralph and Ellory. Visitation was held from 6 – 9 p.m. Monday at the Middleton Funeral Home (902) 825-3448. Funeral service was held Tuesday, Nov. 28 at the Middleton Baptist Church, Rev. Danny Smith and Rev. Donald Robertson officiating. Private family interment will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton. November 19 to November 25, 2006 continued Wellington “Bruce� Newell, 84, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2006 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Newellton, he was a son of the late Adelbert and Florene (Atkinson) Newell. He was a dearly beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great, great grandfather. He was a gentleman in every sense of the word. He was kind, caring and honest. His children and grandchildren were the joy of his life and he was their special “Gramp�. Besides his love for his family, he took great pleasure in woodworking, boating and gardening. Surrounded by family love, he went to meet his Lord and Saviour. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving as a volunteer in the Army. He served with the Royal Canadian Regiment, C Company from 1943-1945, serving in Holland, Italy, Germany, France and Belgium. He is survived by son, Bruce Jr. (Mildred), Newellton; daughters, Florene Nickerson, Barrington, Marcella Newell, North East Point; brother, Norman, Ontario; sisters, Maude Smith, Barrington, Ruth Saulnier, Yarmouth; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Violet Nickerson; brothers, Austin, Melbourne, Ephriam; sisters, Jessie, Isaline, Agnes. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 28, 2006 in Newellton Cemetery, Pastor Jonathan Highfil and Rev. Gerald Cossaboom officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, New Testament Baptist Church, The Hawk, or the Newellton United Baptist Church.
