November 12 to November 18, 2006 continued Barbara Ellen Taylor (nee Roddick), 62, of East Rutherford, formerly of Nova Scotia, Canada, died Nov. 18,2006. Mrs. Taylor was a phlebotomist at Bergen Community Blood Bank. She was a member of the Rutherford Congregational Church, where her remains will be placed in the gardens among many of her friends. Mrs. Taylor recently became a proud United States citizen. She is survived by her father, Stanley Roddick and her husband of 36 years, Kenneth Taylor, one son David, one daughter, Susan DeRobertis; her brothers, Bruce, Terry and Sandy and one grandson Gavin. A memorial service was held at the Rutherford Congregational Church, 251 Union Ave., on Friday, Nov 24 at 1 pm. November 12 to November 18, 2006 continued Bernice “Bunny" (Belfield) Patchell- 81 of Tara, Ontario, passed away November 18, 2006 in the Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, Ont. Born in Starrs Point, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Francis and Jean (Haverstock) Belfield of Starrs Point, N.S. She received her education at Town Plot School and Port Williams High. She then married Corp. Orland Patchell, South Hampton, Ont. and moved to Tara, Ont. where they farmed for many years. Left to mourn are Audrey, Fergus; Velma Bell (Jim), Paisley, David (Janice), Alvanley; Bruce (Brenda) Cochrane, Michael (Britta), Rockford; Cris (Bill), Tara; Paul (Terri), Toronto and Carol, wife of the late Mark Patchell, and sister Audrey (Harry) Davies, Wolfville, N.S.; sister-in-law Laura, Windsor, N.S. She was predeceased by sister Dorothy (Waldo) Long, N.S. and brother, Murray (Laura) , Windsor, Robert (Florence), Winnipeg and Everett, Kempt Shore. The Tara Legion Ladies Auxiliary held their service Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 6:45 p.m. Funeral service was held at Paul H. Eagleson Funeral Home Chapel Wed Nov. 22 at 11 a.m. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara. Memorial donations may be made to Tara Legion Building Fund or charity of your choice.
November 12 to November 18, 2006 continued Melanson, Mary Dorothy - Born in Boston, MA. Died Nov. 18, 2006. She was an active participant in her city of Arcadia functions, where she lived most of her life and was proud of the city. A Bank of America retiree, she is survived by cousins, Jeanette, Gerald, Cecile, Louise and Elise all from Canada. Funeral Mass at 8:15 a.m. on Dec. 16, 2006, at Holy Angels Church in Arcadia, CA, following a burial at sea.
