Can we say hypocrisy boys and girls?
Letter to the Annapolis County Spectator
Dear Editor:
Forget your designer babies, designer clothes, and designer based renovations. The latest and greatest fad on the planet is designer court cases as in the case of S.H. His court proceedings were followed by a worldwide audience as we knew it would.
Despite all of this anticipation and the certain knowledge that the case would be followed with piercingly critical eyes, the case was orchestrated and perhaps even rehearsed before the first gavel was thumped. Myopia doesn't begin to describe the narrowness of focus or the limitations placed on the proceedings.
Those who supported, aided and abetted S.H. by supplying him with the weapons, ammunition, and WMDS so that he could carry out his monstrous schemes were not even mentioned. In other jurisdictions being an accessory would be grounds for charges being laid. Once again those in control, allowed the military-industrial complex off the hook and escape scrutiny or challenge. Not only that, but their political salesmen who staff the foreign offices and embassies of every western government were given a free pass. To its shame Canada's corporatocracy is complicit in this scam and supported by the folk we send to Ottawa. Can we say hypocrisy boys and girls?
