Military and civilian members of all ages from the greater Kingston/Greenwood community

gathered by the hundreds around the cenotaph at Branch 98 Kingston legion November 11 to honour the memory of Canadian veterans who lost their lives in past wars, peace-keeping efforts and current military conflicts around the world.

The cenotaph service, which was preceded by an indoor memorial service at the Legion,

began with a parade featuring Canadian forces personnel serving at C.F.B Greenwood, air force cadets, RCMP, and members of local scout and guiding groups. After the traditions of the last post and reading of “In Flanders Fields, close to 40

wreaths were laid in remembrance by families, local organizations and businesses.
