Lawrencetown baseball alive and well
Letter to the Annapolis County Spectator
Dear Editor:

What can I say, “Wow, the Lawrencetown and Area Minor Baseball had a great turn out this 2006 baseball season. Eighty-five children from all ages, signed up to play minor baseball in Lawrencetown this year. That was great to see. Every child had a team to play on. With fundraising and lots of donations from local businesses, we were able to provide each team with hats, jerseys and gear. It was great to see the smiles on the kid’s faces when they knew they were part of a team, and they were.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank every business that gave us a donation. Thanks to the coaches who donated their time, the kids really learned a lot from you! To my association, thanks again.

We hope all the children come back again next season, along with the coaches, and that the local businesses keep supporting Lawrencetown and Area Minor Baseball, because the children are worth every bit of it.
