Food bank makes a difference to me

I am writing in regards to the Sept. 28 Kings County Register article about the food bank clients not being present at the meetings.

I am myself a client of the Berwick food bank and have been for years -with their help, I have been about to get by until I can afford to buy groceries. I find the workers at the food bank to be kind people that don't look down at me for needing to come to get help for food occasionally.

I have never gone to the open meetings the food bank has for the public and clients to attend because I don't always know when they are happening. I am very grateful for the help of food, etc that I have received, I have appreciated that the food bank has been available to help me when I have needed them when there have been tough times for me and for others like me. The food bank has helped.

I really hope that the issue of the food bank being able to stay open can be resolved because there is indeed a great need for its help to people that would otherwise go hungry without its help in the town of Berwick and surrounding areas.
