Proud to be a nurse

As the eve of the Nova Scotia Nurses Union contract expiring approaches, I wish to express my sentiment of being proud to be a registered nurse. The professional contribution of registered nurses has been instrumental in shaping the landscape of health care over the past decade. Nurses continue to be skilled, knowledgeable and current in our specialties, rising to challenges given to us.

I want to remind my fellow colleagues and the public that registered nurses play a valuable role in caring for our community. Let this be one positive voice that speaks out for the accomplishments of nurses. The next nurse you encounter pass on a moment of appreciation. I am proud to be a registered nurse.
