Mariners upend Lions 5-3
Clare Lions suffered a 5-3 loss Friday in Yarmouth to the third-place Mariners. Just a week ago, the Lions humbled the Mariners 9-3 at Church Point.

The Lions now have a record of four wins and three losses, leaving them ranked second in the Nova Scotia Junior C West division behind Barrington. Both teams have eight points, but the Ice Dogs have played one less game and have a 4-2 record.

Clare is in Digby tomorrow, Nov. 1, for a 2 p.m. match against the Valley Fuelers, who have managed just one win in seven games this season.

Jacques Lombard, Marc Lombard and Mario Blinn scored Friday for the Lions, while goalie Colin Leblanc took the loss. Shots on goal are not known.
