Lifeplex finances being reviewed
The financial picture of Lifeplex Wellness Centre in Cornwallis Park will be discussed Tuesday in a public meeting in the Annapolis Royal Fire Hall.
The meeting is the first of two sessions planned by the Municipality of Annapolis.
The first session will be provided historical financial information of the Lifeplex Wellness Centre, while a second meeting Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. in Lawrencetown Fire Hall will be an opportunity for the public to provide its input regarding the Lifeplex centre.
“Council is reacting to concerns that have been expressed regarding the financial viability of the facility,” said Annapolis warden Peter Newton. “After reviewing the history and contract documents, we are now ready to explore the financial statements, and listen to input from the public. That is the purpose for these meetings.”
People interested in speaking on this issue are asked to contact municipal clerk Jacquie Farrow-Lawrence at 532-3131 or clerk@annapoliscounty.ns.ca
