Bruce Johnson BBI entrepreneur of the year
Yarmouth’s Bruce Johnson is the Black Business Initiative’s entrepreneur of the year for 2009, the organization having presented the award to him during its annual general meeting.
Finalists for BBI entrepreneur of the year included representatives of a couple of Metro businesses: Juice-Eh! (located in the Halifax Shopping Centre) and Carvery’s Construction.
Johnson, who studied pharmacy at Dalhousie University in the early 1970s, has worked at City Drug Store for 35 years.
The Halifax-based BBI supports the development of business and job opportunities for black Nova Scotians.
