Robart-Lewis, Mary Marguerite passed away at the grand age of 95 on December 21, 2008. She had been living in a retirement home in Ottawa for the past seven years and had called Ottawa home for more than forty years. She was born in Weymouth, the daughter of John Murray Robart and Augusta Marguerite Wesley, also of Weymouth. Besides her parents, she was predeceased many years before by her husband Oscar Lewis of Weymouth; her brothers, Lendley Irving Robart, Yarmouth, Murray Halbert Robart, Samuel Bernard Cromwell and John Cromwell, all of Weymouth; sister Pearl Matilda Robart of Weymouth. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and many great-nieces/nephews. Marguerite was an extremely independent woman who worked hard at various jobs her entire life, but when she reached her sixty-fifth birthday, she said (as told to her niece, Sharon), “I’m sixty-five. I’m not working anymore.” And she didn’t. Her witty stories, none of which were exaggerated, would make a person laugh long after they were told. Until the last few months of her life, she had a memory that would take you on journey through her childhood in Weymouth and through her adult years. She could relate every story that she knew throughout her life. And what a journey it was. She was an exceptional woman who will be sadly missed. Spring interment will be in the Greenville Cemetery beside her brother, Lendley Irving Robart, as was her wish.
