District championship for junior volleyball girls
The junior girls’ volleyball team at Digby Regional High School has advanced to regional playdowns after winning the district championship on its home court yesterday.
The junior Mariners won every match in games against Clare, Annapolis West, St. Mary’s Bay Academy and Middleton, but was taken to the third set in the finals against Middleton.
Regionals will be held Tuesday in the Yarmouth area school Par en Bas. There is no provincial championship at the junior level.
