Digby nurse practitioner clinic now five days a week
The nurse practitioner’s clinic that has provided enhanced primary health care services to Digby and area residents once a week since September is now open full-time.
South West Health announced this afternoon that nurse practitioner Dara Lee MacDonald will see patients on a walk-in basis on Mondays and Thursdays. Patients with booked appointments will be seen on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Nurse practitioner Karen Snider will also see walk-in patients on Fridays.
Snider recently became the new nurse practitioner at the Islands Health Clinic. Deb Misener will continue to work at the Islands clinic on Fridays to allow Snider to offer service at Digby General Hospital.
The nurse practitioner’s clinic is in the consultant’s clinic space on the bottom floor of the Digby General Hospital.
Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to noon and from 1- 4 p.m.
To book an appointment, call 245-1307. You can also call the clinic on any day to see if they are able to take you that day as a walk-in.
People visiting the clinic must first register at the front desk at the main hospital entrance. Patients are asked to bring their health card when registering, as well as a list of all medications.
