Experiential Tourism Workshop, Nov. 21-22
Event set for Cornwallis Park
The Annapolis Digby Economic Development agency is accepting applications to participate in an Advanced Experiential Tourism Workshop, to be held November 21 and 22 in Cornwallis Park.

Experiential Tourism is a broad term which applies to tourism where visitors do, rather than see. This could be anything from bird-watching to hiking to historical re-enactments. Nature tourism, adventure tourism, resource-based tourism, ecotourism, and heritage tourism could all be included under this term.

The workshop is designed to address product development, packaging, pricing, web marketing, the ‘customer relations ladder’, web-based story telling tools, online tactics, the importance of social marketing, and how to generate photos, text & video content for the web.

The workshop will be led by Celes Davar of Earth Rhythms Inc. and Todd Lucier of Tourism Keys Marketing Training & Northern Edge Algonquin Inc.

Registration costs $100, and it is suggested to come equipped with a laptop and/or digital camera to derive the full benefit.
