Berwick’s ICSP Focus Group Discussion

The Town of Berwick invites residents of Berwick to share their opinions about the Town’s long-term future at Berwick’s Integrated Community Sustainability Plan Focus Group Discussion.

Through this public engagement, the Town aims to identify town issues, concerns and opportunities as you, the residents, see them. A facilitated discussion will be linked to the key pillars of sustainability: economic, environmental, social and cultural.

The focus group discussions will be held Tuesday, Dec. 2 and Monday, Dec. 8 from 6:30-9 p.m. at the new Berwick Fire Hall.

If you dream of starting your own business – or are already in business – the Kings Community Economic Development Agency can help through its partnership in a small business counselling program delivered by the Acadia Centre for Social and Business Entrepreneurship (ACSBE).

ACSBE’s business counsellors help aspiring and existing business owners achieve their goals through effective planning and guidance. They lead clients as they research their idea, help them understand the variables that may affect the idea and then develop an action plan that works for them.

While starting a new business can be a rewarding experience, it may also have many risks and unknowns. The success of any business initiative is usually tied very closely to the effort put forth in developing a realistic and informed business plan.

Innovation 101, 2008 Event

The Kings Innovation Council presents Innovation 101, 2008: Strengths Based Training Workshop.

The workplace of today requires efficiency and competency. How can strengths training fit in and help achieve this outcome as well as staff engagement? Put the pieces of the puzzle together by finding out about this exciting tool for managers and individuals.

Innovation 101, 2008 will take place Thursday, Nov. 27 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Old Orchard Inn, Greenwich. The cost is $50, which includes the workshop, coffee breaks and a copy of the book “Strengths Finder 2.0”.
