Children’s Festival Nov. 15 & 16th at AGNS Western branch in Yarmouth
Two weekend afternoons filled with art-making and dance, inspired by the exciting new exhibit “Contemporaries” are planned for Nov. 15 and 16 at the AGNS Western branch.
On Saturday, Nov. 15 all ages are invited to develop art from the produce isle. From 1 to 2 p.m. participants will be using peppers, broccoli and apples to create colourful small prints, some of which will be used on the gallery Christmas tree.
From 2-4 p.m., “art from a toolbox” will explore how carpenter’s tools can build art as well as houses in this hands-on workshop.
On Sunday, Nov. 16, the “Get Momentum” workshop for ages 5 to 8 from 2 to 3 p.m.
will feature Natalie Sweeney and Megan Fitzgerald’s new dance company “Momentum” in a performance that’s “Contemporaries” related. For more information call 902-749-2248.
