There were 104 reports made to RCMP in Kings County between Oct. 27 and Oct. 30.

RCMP in Kingston are investigating the theft of approximately 600 litres of furnace oil stolen from an oil tank at the rear of the fire hall in Lake Paul. The theft is believed to have occurred within the last three to four weeks. RCMP are asking anyone with information on this crime to contact the RCMP in Kingston at 765-3317 or CrimeStoppers (1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Police in Wolfville tried to take a drunken 21-year-old man home, but he caused a family dispute on arrival. He was later arrested and lodged in a cell.

A 65-year-old man with Alzheimer’s was located wandering in Coldbrook at 9:21 a.m. last Monday wearing a dressing gown. Police drove him home since he was headed in the wrong direction.

Someone broke into a shed in Kingston and stole an ATV overnight.

Muddy’s in Wolfville has been having problems with shoplifters and some individuals have been banned through the Protection of Property Act. Later, someone tried to steal from the other convenience store in town, but the item fell out of a pocket and was secured.

After a complaint about speeding and drivers failing to obey a stop sign, police stopped and warned several drivers on Carolina Ave. in Cambridge.

A motorcycle driver was warned about speeding on Club Cres. in New Minas. Tires were set on fire on the Canaan Rd. in Morristown at 10 p.m.

Last Tuesday morning someone threw a rock through a window at a New Minas business, setting off the alarm.

A vacant home was ransacked on Rafuse Rd. in Waterville. Trailer inspection stickers were stolen from a car dealership in New Minas.

A female driver aged 50 received a ticket for erratic driving following a report from a fellow driver on Highway 101. She was stopped near Greenwich.

A pizza parlour was broken into on Nichols Ave. in north Kentville and electronic items taken. A laptop was taken from Willet House at Acadia University.

Last Wednesday morning a Belcher St. resident of north Kentville reported a wallet stolen out of an unlocked vehicle.

Two vehicles and a male pedestrian were involved in a collision in New Minas at 10 a.m.

A toolbox was stolen out of an unlocked truck on Mee Rd. The box with some tools left was found in nearby woods. A shoplifter was stopped at Zellers in New Minas.

A driver reported a vehicle where an infant was not safely secured on West Brooklyn Mtn.

A 52-year-old homeless man refused to leave a seniors’ residence in New Minas at 3 p.m.

Some cardboard stored behind Staples in New Minas was set on fire about 3:30 p.m.

Kentville police asked RCMP to look out for a driver who failed to pay for gas.

Someone stole the cash float from an eatery in New Minas about 7:45 p.m. The cook ran after the thief.

A laptop was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle in Greenwood. Thieves broke into a house under construction for the third time. It is located on Mee Rd. and Elizabeth Dr.

There were six domestic incidents and one mental health call. There were 14 false business alarms, seven false residential alarms and eight false 911 calls.
