Love on stage
Congratulations to Bobby Morton and Jennifer Darnley, who got engaged recently during a performance at CentreStage Theatre in Kentville. On Saturday, Oct. 25, Bobby took his girlfriend Jennifer to see CentreStage Theatre’s production of O’Conner Girls. As it was Jennifer’s birthday, and not wanting to spoil the surprise, Bobby, with the help of the front-of-house volunteers, presented Jennifer with a bouquet of roses prior to the show. After the cast took their final bows, the onstage phone rang. It was a phone call for Bobby and Jennifer, who were called up on stage. As their song was played over the speakers, Bobby asked Jennifer to marry him, with a resounding “Yes!” Bobby, who had not been to CentreStage since he was eight years old, wanted to do something exciting and memorable for his proposal. Congratulations and best wishes!
