Walk-in Clinics
October 30 Free walk-in clinics 2 to 4 p.m. every Thursday at Hutchin’s Pharmasave, Annapolis Royal. Blood pressure, glucose or cholesterol checked.
Fall auction

Hallalujah Party
October 31 Hallalujah Party is an alternative to going door to door trick or treating for adults and children alike. Children can bob for apples or look for candy in the leaves. The party is being held October 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Annapolis Valley Community Church of the Nazarene, 738 Tremont Road. Call Juanita at 825-2531 or Gisele at 765-4326 for more information.
Bake sale
October 31 Valley Animal Shelter’s annual bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Valley Drug Mart, Middleton. Goodies include homemade candy, squares, cookies, breads, preserves and more. For more information, call Jennifer at 765-6629.
Farmers market
October 31 Middleton Farmer's Market is at the Middleton Baptist Church Hall on Fridays, 2 to 6 p.m. Features local produce, meat, baked good, an array of hand crafted items and more. Contact 847-0657.
Dance
October 31 Focus will perform at the Clementsport Legion starting at 9:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for costumes.
Community Lunch
October 31 The Women’s Place is hosting free community lunches the last Friday of each month. Our next session will be October 31 at 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The topic will be the support program for children with special needs and their families, Bright Beginnings. All are welcome to attend. Variety Concert
November 1 There will be a Variety Concert featuring Gospel and inspirational music to be held at the Middleton Baptist Church on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. This special program will feature Old Country, the Middleton Baptist Male Quartet, New Song, El Sheddai, Irene Clark, and many other musicians from the Central Valley area. Free will offering. Money will be used to assist in sending a mission team to Kenya in June 2009, and for the new Middleton Christian Radio Station planned for this area. Come and Sing along.

November 1 From 2 to 4 p.m. Clarence Church Aid Society, Christmas tea and sale at church vestry. Craft, embroidery and bake table. Tea $5 adults, 12 years and under $2.50.

Ham and Baked Beans
November 1 From 4 to 6 p.m., ham and baked bean supper, Inglisville Community Hall. Adults $6.50, children $4. under 5 free. Ham, baked beans, potao scallop, bread, rolls, tea/coffee, juice, apple crisp. Proceeds to community hall.
Chinese Auction
November 1 A Chinese Auction will be held on November 1 at the Christian Fellowship Centre, corner of Highway 1 and Dodge Road. Doors open at 9 a.m. Draws to start at 1 p.m. sharp. Canteen with tea, coffee, etc available. Almost all items new. Funds for Wilmot Baptist Church.

Minor hockey
November 1 Bridgetown Minor Hockey 2nd Annual Skill-a-thon from 6 to 8 p.m. Come watch our hockey kids have fun with skilled competitions, also chuck-a-puck and 50/50 draw. Support our local hockey program. Free will offering at door.

Christmas Craft Fair
November 2 Everyone is invited to a Christmas Craft Fair on Sunday, Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the West Kings District High School. Crafters and artisans all on one level. Door prizes, draw auction, bake table, and canteen services provided by Lake Paul Volunteer Fire Dept. Admission $2 for adults and children under 12 free. Save the Ferry
November 4 Ferry service is necessary for the region’s economic survival. Gateway project needed to achieve this. Save the ferry rally is set for November 4 at 7 p.m., Desmond Piers Theatre, 68 Cornwallis Park.

Fall Fair
November 8 The Ecumenical Fall Fair will take place on Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Annapolis Royal Fire Hall from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Craft and bake tables from different local churches. Door prizes. Coffee and coffee cake will be served. Admission to Fair is free but Food Bank donations would be appreciated.

Family Fall Hike
November 9 Paradise Baptist Family Fun Event. Meet at the church at 2 p.m. to carpool to the Mickey Hill Pocket Wilderness trail system (10 minutes from Annapolis Royal on Hwy. 8). Dress in layers, grab a pair of comfortable walking shoes, and get set to enjoy a beautiful fall hike with the whole family. COGS students are always welcome. Rides available. Remembrance Day
November 11 Service at the Brickton Community Hall at 2 p.m. to honor those from the community who served in past world conflicts. Refreshment to follow ceremony, all welcome.
Legion service
November 11 Middleton Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 001’s Remembrance Day Service at the N.S. Community College, Middleton. Parade falls in at Seniors Complex at 9:30 a.m., service at 10:30 a.m. Small reception to follow at the Legion.

Dutch Auction
November 12 Digby Area Learning Association is hosting their annual Christmas Dutch Auction, November 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Digby Legion. Come join us for a fun and exciting evening and don't forget to bring in a Christmas item to be acutioned. All funds raised will be used for on-going expenses at the Digby Area Education Centre.

November 14 Ardyth and Jennifer will perform in concert Friday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at St Luke's Anglican Church, Annapolis Royal.
