Raiders, Wolfpack win in Week Six

The Raiders and Wolfpack were winners in Week Six of the Valley Touch Football League.

In the first game Sunday, Oct. 26 in Kentville, the Wolfpack rebounded from their loss the previous week to top Capital Paper 48-12.

Scott Dunthorne led the way with six touchdown passes: two to Aaron Long, two to Pete Morse and one each to Kyle Keddy and Chris MacInnis.

Defensively for the Wolfpack, Peter Morse had two interceptions, both of which he ran back for touchdowns. Aaron Long also had two interceptions and Chris MacInnis one. Kyle Keddy had three quarterback sacks.

For Capital Paper, Malcolm Darnley and Jeff Zettler threw touchdown passes, with Marc Davignon and Craig Smith on the receiving end. Jeff Zettler had an interception and Adam Trenholm recorded a quarterback sack.

In the second game, the Raiders defeated the ReJets 38-10. Dave McDowell, back in at quarterback for the Raiders, had four touchdown passes: two to Steve Faoro and two to Greg Wheeler, who also scored a two-point conversion.

Gair MacInnis added a field goal and three one-point converts to round out the offense. Defensively for the Raiders, Faoro had a pair of interceptions, one of which he ran back for a touchdown.

ReJets quarterback Pat McDonald had a touchdown pass to Jerry Mahar. On defense, Dave Keddy had an interception and Matt Jennings had five quarterback sacks.
