The Roseway Hospital Auxiliary has recently purchased almost $20,000 in much needed equipment for Roseway Hospital.
The most recent acquisition is an infant warmer for on-site emergency deliveries so babies won’t get cold-stressed when they are transported to another hospital.
Over the past six months the auxiliary has also purchased two blood pressure machines for the emergency department, and two vital sign monitors for use on the floors.
“A lot of the money raised comes from the New 2U shop, said auxiliary president Barbara Henderson-Townsend, “so when you support New 2U you’re supporting Roseway Hospital.”
The auxiliary will be holding a Dutch auction at the Shelburne Fire Hall on Nov. 14 starting at 7 p.m. as a fundraiser to further support the hospital, which is in need of new beds, said Henderson-Townsend.
The Roseway Hospital Auxiliary currently has about 50 members but are always looking for more volunteers to help support Roseway Hospital.
