RCMP officers recognized for N.S. service
Four RCMP officers from Kings County were among 240 recognized for long-standing service last week by the province of Nova Scotia.

The quartet includes S/Sgt Rick Daley, New Minas office; Cst Bob Lutz, Valley Traffic Services; Cpl John Elliott, South West Nova Major Crime; and Cst. Les Kakonyi, Community Policing-Kings District, who works out of the Wolfville office.

Kakonyi said October 27 the recognition by the premier and Justice Minister Cecil Clarke at the inaugural ceremony meant a lot to him, as it comes from representatives of the people of Nova Scotia.
