Between Sunday, Oct. 12 and Sunday, Oct. 19, Hants County RCMP were busy and responded to 76 calls.

Among these calls, eight were in regard to dangerous driving complaints and members had eight calls of traffic collisions (one involving deer; one involving a single injury collision involving alcohol; five calls of mischief to property under $5,000; three theft under $5,000 calls and two calls regarding frauds under $5,000; and three calls regarding firearm complaints.

In addition, members attended 10 false 911 calls and in most instances calls were made by citizens trying to call directory assistance. There were also five false residential/business calls.

Hants County RCMP are also investigating the following offences and anyone with information on those person(s) responsible are asked to contact Windsor RCMP or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS):

Sometime between Oct. 13 and Oct. 16, unknown person(s) cut the oil line on an oil tank at the Rawdon Fire Hall, Hants County, and made off with a quantity of furnace oil.

On the night of Oct. 16, unknown person(s) threw eggs and struck a vehicle parked on Porters Avenue, Hantsport.

On Oct. 18 at approximately 9:30 p.m., a wallet was stolen from an unlocked car parked near Smiley’s Provincial Park, Hants County, and a stolen VISA was later used in the Windsor area to purchase items.

On the night of Oct. 18 on Etter Road, Mount Uniacke, a mailbox was extensively damaged by a vehicle that failed to remain at the scene.

Between Sunday, Oct. 12 and Sunday, Oct. 19, Windsor Town RCMP were busy and responded to 34 calls.

Among these calls, one was in response to a theft under $5,000 complaint; two calls were in regard to common assaults; and one call with disturbing the peace. Other incidents ranged from suspicious persons, uttering threats, mischief to property under $5,000, two moving traffic complaints and one hit-and-run collision.

On Oct. 15 between 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., a vehicle parked on Gerrish Street, Windsor behind the Mermaid Theatre was struck by paintballs by an unknown person(s).

On Oct. 19 between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., a green 1998 Dodge Caravan was stolen from the parking lot of the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor.
