Man in custody on charge of trafficking crack cocaine
A Yarmouth man is in custody after being arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
On Wednesday, Oct. 8, members of the RCMP town detachment, the Yarmouth town general investigation section ( GIS ) and the Yarmouth /Clare street crime enforcement unit (SCEU) executed a search warrant on an apartment in the town of Yarmouth .
Cory Eugene Parsons, 34, of Yarmouth was arrested and has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. The RCMP say an undisclosed amount of crack cocaine was seized from the residence.
Parsons appeared in provincial court in Digby Thursday morning and was remanded into custody. He is slated to appear in provincial court in Yarmouth on Oct. 14.
Parsons is also charged with breach of undertaking. The RCMP say he was released on a previous possession for the purpose of trafficking charge in April and had been given a November court date.
