Bridgetown’s Sonya Rice battled to a second runner-up placing in this year’s Bridgetown Idol competition, just behind Berwick’s 12-year-old phenom Elizabeth Furniss and winner Marco Simmons of Halifax.

The 25th edition of Bridgetown Ciderfest on the weekend of September 19 to 21 was a big success with perfect weather and big crowds.
Some of the events included head shaving for cancer cure, parades, Bridgetown Idol, and numerous other activities.
