Sept. 20 - Rachel MacLean in concert in Hillsburgh United Church, Bear River, at 7 p.m., joined by Digby Baptist Ladies Ensemble. Proceeds for church window repairs.

Sept. 20 - Firefighters’ breakfast in Smith’s Cove Fire Hall and Community Centre from 7:30-10 a.m. Proceeds for fire department.

Sept. 20 - Thank-you party for Wharf Rat Rally volunteers at 7 p.m. in Sunset Beverage Room. Prizes, food, happy hour fun.

Sept. 21 - Gospel music with Florence Pope of Salvation Army, Botwood, Nfld., at Full Gospel Tabernacle at 11 a.m. All welcome.

Oct. 4 - Firefighters’ breakfast in Bear River Fire Hall from 7–10 a.m. Proceeds for upkeep of fire hall.

Sept. 27 - Municipal District 3 candidates in Rossway Community Hall, Rossway, at 2 p.m., with Municipality of Digby candidates Linda Gregory and Victoria Wilson.

Oct. 1 - Municipality of Digby candidates in Royal Canadian Legion, Digby from 7 to 9 p.m. Digby Area Board of Trade forum for municipal candidates and two candidates for African-Nova Scotian seat.

Oct. 6 - Municipal District 2 candidates in Plympton Fire Hall, at 7 p.m., with Municipality of Digby candidates Maritza Adams, Elizabeth (Liz) Blinn, Peter L. Robertson, Paul Sullivan, Charlie Walker and Wanda Van Tassel. Refreshments served.

To Nov. 12 - Art exhibit in Scallop Palette Gallery, Digby General Hospital: New works by local artists. Featured artist Marie Warner works in oils, pencil and watercolour.
