RCMP investigate two-vehicle crash
RCMP Traffic Services is investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Highway 101 in Avonport, Kings County.

Two westbound vehicles, a SUV and passenger car, collided, resulting in both vehicles leaving the road. One driver was ejected and the other was extracted with the Jaws of Life.

Both drivers, lone occupants of their respective vehicles, were transported to the Valley Regional Hospital. One driver remains in hospital with undetermined injuries.

Preliminary investigation suggests alcohol as a contributing factor in the crash. A 31-year-old Kings County woman was released from custody for refusing a breathalyzer demand. She is to appear in Kentville Provincial Court Dec. 5, 2008.
