The normal peace and tranquility of Prescott House has been overshadowed by a ghastly plot of murder and deception. Nothing is what it seems in this complex maze of lies, bribery, theft and blackmail.

Prescott House Museum is once again hosting a Murder Mystery Evening. Help us solve the crime in this fun interactive mystery game Sat., Sept 27 from 7-10 p.m. The cost is $20 per person, which includes refreshments. Please register by Sept 24.

For more information please call the museum at 542 3984.

Baptist Church: Everyone is invited and encouraged to stay for the Avalanche Ranch Round-Up Brunch in Lockwood Hall Sun., Sept. 14. Bring your partner and buckaroos and saddle up for the fall!

Worship will be at 10 a.m. and Sunday school and brunch at 11:15 a.m. A full brunch will be provided; just bring your own plate and cutlery.

Greenwich United Church: The Wolfville Pastoral Charge will hold its first-ever Farmersgolf Tournament Sat., Sept. 27 at Hennigar’s Farm with a shotgun start at 2:30 p.m. This fundraising event has room for 20 teams with a cost per team of $60. There will be fabulous prizes and a dazzling array of spectators to cheer on the teams.

Those not golfing can participate by sponsoring a hole for $10, which gives you the honour of having your name displayed at the hole and the option of sitting there to supervise and cheer on the teams.

Entry forms for teams and sponsors are available at the church office or from coordinators Liz Vermeulen (681-0061) or Heather Hennigar (542-9530). Come and enjoy the experience!

Registration for Sparks and Brownies will be held Tues., Sept. 9 from 6-8 p.m. in the PWES library. They are in desperate need of leaders for both groups as there are currently no leaders for either one.

Girls interested in Guides and Pathfinders should contact the New Minas groups (also in need of leaders).
