Gala Days queen crowned
With 18 community representatives in this year’s Gala Days pageant, supporters and judges were challenged to select just a few for top honours through interviews, speeches and informal meet-and-greets. At the tea Aug. 30 at the Berwick Legion, Keshia Timmons, second from right, of Cambridge; was crowned Gala Days Queen 63rd. From left, Georgia Lewis of Kingston was selected by the girls themselves as Miss Friendship, and also won the Miss Spirit title; Allyson Nichols of Morristown was named 2nd Lady-in-Waiting and, right, Katrina Gould of South Berwick was chosen 1st Lady-in-Waiting. Gala Days in Berwick continues through Labour Day, with the Grand Street Parade at 1 p.m. Sept. 1.
