Meeting planned in Queens County
Destination Southwest Nova Association wishes to extend an invitation to all tourism operators, stakeholders and media to attend an information session(s) on the 2009 Tourism Mission to Scotland, United Kingdom as a way to gage interest in participation from the Southwest Nova Scotia tourism community.
The association is the provincially recognized destination marketing organization for the regions of Fundy Shore & Annapolis Valley, Yarmouth & Acadian Shores and South Shore.

The mission will take place in the fall of 2009 and will be open to all tourism operators, stakeholders and media in Southwest Nova Scotia. Preliminary costs and draft itinerary will be available at the session or upon request after Sept. 11.

The information sessions will take place 9:30 a.m. Sept. 11 in the Region of Queens Municipality Council Chambers in Liverpool and in Kentville 9:30 a.m. Sept. 8.

The sessions will provide information and background on the ongoing relationship that has been developed with the Scottish city of Stirling and the Fundy Shore & Annapolis Valley, Yarmouth & Acadian Shores, and South Shore.

The goal of the 2009 mission will be to establish a new tourism market through increased market awareness as well as through increased partnership.
