Locke seven over par in second round
Eric Locke, the 15-year-old Nova Scotia junior champion, slipped backwards Wednesday at the Canadian Junior Boys Championship in Edmonton, Alta.
After an even par round Tuesday to open the four-day tournament, Locke was seven over yesterday, dropping him from 15th to a tie for 53rd. Two Nova Scotia teammates, Ally Tidcombe of Wolfville, and Thomas McLellan of Halifax, are also in the same spot.

Eric Banks of Truro, is one back at eight over, while Sean Stuart of Bedford missed the cut, which was at nine over par.

While opening day scoring saw a crowd under par, with four shooting 68s, conditions toughened yesterday and only one player managed to break 70 at the par-72 Edmonton Petroleum Golf and Country Club.

Seventy-seven players from the field of 155 made the cut and the third round tees off today at 10:30 a.m. (ADT).
