Real estate heavy-weights Minas Realties Ltd. owner Austin Bleakney and new manager Randy Hussey are tackling renovations in preparation for the company’s expanded profile
Minas Reality moves house, takes Riverview with them
Minas Reality Ltd will double in size next month, in more ways than one. With the recent purchase of Riverview Realty, Minas will move its home base to a considerably larger space by mid-August.
Austin Bleakney of Port Williams has owned the nearly 40-year-old company for the past two decades and says the acquisition of Riverview will increase their industry profile. “We will become one of the largest brokers in the area.” There are currently six agents working for Minas but with the addition of Riverview Reality staff there will be twice as many staff. “The market in Windsor is picking up and having more agents available should give us the advantage,” he said.
Randy Hussey, a former Eastern Valley agent since 2005 has stepped up to manage the expanded company and said it was an opportunity not to be missed. “I wanted the challenge and to be part of something exciting. This is a growing area and a great opportunity. We're combining decades of experience under one roof; bigger is better.”
With the grand opening at 105 Wentworth Road slated for Aug 15 both Bleakney and Hussey are hustling to get the space ready in time. The new home of Minas Reality will have over 1000 more square footage than to their current Gerrish St. location. It will include a larger reception area, conference room and, of course, more offices to accommodate all those agents.
“Staff are really excited,” Hussy said. “We've been trying to keep them out till it's finished.”
He noted that the new location would provide the company with better visibility. “We're right on the main drag and people who come off the highway will be able to see us.”
The company plans to launch a new product as well next month but he said they are keeping that under their hat for now.
But expansion aside, Hussy said what customers really want is good old-fashioned service. “That’s our number one priority. What people want is a warm, friendly atmosphere, service and experience.”
