Granted conditional discharge

Dartmouth resident Blair Christopher Kane, 19, received a conditional discharge from Judge Alan Tufts July 17 on a charge of possession of property valued at less than $5,000 and known to have been obtained unlawfully.

The discharge is pending 12 months’ reporting probation and a $500 charitable donation to the Addiction Services/Crosbie house.

Other probation conditions include Kane taking any assessment, counselling or treatment; refraining from contacting a specific person; and refraining from possessing or consuming non-medically prescribed drugs.

The charge resulted from an incident in Kings County Oct. 13, 2007. The court found Kane guilty of the charge May 21.
